Curriculum

Our curriculum is aimed at helping each child fulfill his or her own potential. There are always a wide and varied range of activities to choose from suitable for children from 2 right through to 5 years. Many activities will be revisited numerous times, but each time they will learn or discover something new, improve their skill, or create their own masterpiece!

Each day, all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage are covered. We learn to share and be polite with each other, learn to hold a pencil correctly, cut out with scissors, throw and catch a ball, discover that a week has seven days, explore a map of the village, find out what is attracted by a magnet or what food birds like best. We count and play number games, make graphs to see how many vehicles travel along Main Street in five minutes, and find out which are our favourite colours. We talk and listen to each other, listen to stories and learn new rhymes. We paint and draw, make models and use a variety of tools for mark making.  We dress up and act out various roles in the role play area and home corner.
